No.107347
>>107346The first episode was so terribly boring. I'm glad to see that second episode made it good again and made me hopeful for some great episodes.

Anxiously awaiting an impregnation edit
No.107436
>>107432I'm not sure where they go with this movie, let alone a sequel. Never watched the old tokusatsu stuff, but the both the Gridman and Dynazenon animes felt more like the stories of the antagonists (plus Gauma in Dynazenon's case). It's like... how can you have Gridman without Akane or Dynazenon without the Kaijuu Eugenicists? I guess the protagonists can fight a new enemy, but it felt like their roles were done at the ends of their respective series.
I still think the crossover movie might be cool, but for another series I'd rather see a new "SSSS." setting with new characters, maybe with Gridknight and Nidaime as recurring side characters to build continuity.
No.107437
>>107436I was also skeptical going in but the movie was really, really good, and firmly cemented SSSS. as one of my favorite franchises in recent years.

>>109167There's no way it's ending in 4 episodes. There will be a season 2, possibly with a time skip in between.

of course, it's Gundam. Expect 52 episodes and then with another development plotline of 52 episodes
No.109173
>>109172actually it would be pretty weird if this gundam was just 24 eps, especially when it seems to be the most financially successful gundam for bandai in a long while

Apparently the field she used is called an

No.109540
>>109538Although reading about it, even though audiences and fans love it, the autobots and decepticons still existing and interacting with them is weird to me when the whole point is that it's the far future and humans may be extinct. But canon is fluid in this series and everything is explained away with things in being different timelines.

I imagine they will have decided on making a spinoff/game or that Sunrise doesn't want to focus on anime much anymore.
No.110566
>>110556I mean this anime has been the most successful for Sunrise in decades so they probably are punching themselves for making it only 24 eps.
No.110644
>>109538I didnt like it. It didnt make sense and just felt like nostalgia bait when its not even that nostalgic as Beast Wars has content currently coming out for it. S2 of Beast Wars is a better movie.
I also noticed a trend in the fandom, where the japanese stuff is seen as deeper and more adult when for the most part it's lighter, sillier and very meta. Like a parody toku series.
