Someone somewhere said to me /jp/ and spin-offs are populated by assholes. How true would you say it is? Not talking about Kissu specifically and it's not my opinion either, but he insisted /jp/ and spin-offs are populated by assholes. I told him to fuck off but it got me thinking. Would you say /jp/ spin-offs have bad vibes or something? I personally don't believe this. To me, /jp/ spin-offs are the heart of imageboards. Yes even more than /a/ and /b/ spin-offs.

I'm asshole about poorly made Koikatsu content, does that count? I haven't even been playing that kusoeroge for 3 years now

loser hikki neets are hardly the asshole type they just want to take it easy

Shut up, if you ever been a hikki NEET you're a winner! Value yourself, bastard!

I think it's no different from other groups. Some people are assholes, some are not. I think a big part of it is a lack of social skills. It can certainly make some people come off as more harsh than they may intend.

It's true, but this is a more of a general phenomenon among imageboard users and kiwifarms people. Neurodivergents and children are easy picks for them. I honestly don't know how some of these people who genuinely have blood in their hands pretend to be arbiters of morality.

As a rule of thumb, you should live a double life on these websites. If you made a mistake and now are being gangstalked in real life, delete everything and drop off the internet. Sometimes you might need to involve law enforcement too. That's how bad it gets for some people.

>Sometimes you might need to involve law enforcement too.
That reminds me of when they swatted T. There are some real jerks in the /jp/sphere.

I'm not afraid of anything. Nothing to lose but also nothing to fear. You can't damage a shut-in NEET.

I think Kissu is pretty kind

 No.166149

You're all deluded... Kissu and real jp spinoffs are very protected about following proper protocol and customs. The fake ones are r9k boards that permit whatever they want, because hikis are just one step removed from full on r9k

I have at least 3 different personas on every separate thread.

I don't know because I almost never try to venture on other websites that are /jp/ spin offs, especially nowadays that I'm constantly busy and these other places are as bustling as a cemetery. /jp/ people are only assholes when it comes to the culture and etiquette of the place they inhabit, being overdefensive and warding off foreigners that could jeopardize the environment, which I consider something positive. Apart from that, you guys are chill.

Wasn't /jp/ always about gatekeeping and being jerks?

/jp/ was just a brewery of bad blood because it had an arbitrarily defined topic that allowed people to assume the board was their house were kicked out by either mod or anon

half the fights on 4chan happen because of vague definitions.

 No.166260

>>166100
depends
wap is especially nice in general. hikari is also mostly nice. kissu is positive but closer to neutral. smug and the other webring /jp/ sites are more hostile, especially sleepychan & trashcan which are downright mean. heyuri & bantculture are extremely rude and largely offensive.

 No.166261

>>166100
That was true 5-15 years ago, but people have mellowed out as the only people left on imageboards get older and older, there's no new blood because all the people under 30 use discord instead.

 No.166262

>kissu is positive but closer to neutral
I'm pretty sure you got this not-nice impression influence entirely from my posts and threads which are the only to confuse people in potentially negative ways. Kissu is very positive otherwise

 No.166263

>>166260
>heyuri & bantculture are extremely rude and largely offensive.
These two cases are funny, heyuri is hostile because they try to emulate that hardcore early 2000s gatekeeping but they do it like a cargo cult so it feels really fake and forced.

And bantculture is a spinoff of /qa/ and the 'sharty, so they have to be hostile even among themselves.

half of these are /a/ and not even /jp/

to be fair a lot of sites dabble in both from time to time and its hard to strictly differentiate them in those cases

The trick to making kissu nice is hiding all threads related to 4chan. Just looking at the imageboards happening thread is like being on another site.

I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of the regulars in the happening thread are only on kissu for that one thread, which might explain why it's so different from the rest of kissu. I would've hidden it a long time ago if it weren't for the rare on-topic imageboard happenings that do get posted.

This is true at least for me. I'm much better at complaining about imageboards than making good posts, so I mostly self quarantine there.
