Do you actually know English well enough to teach it?

From what I hear English class is seen as a huge waste of time so they basically just send you to a school in bumfuck nowhere to act as a gaijin circus monkey for a few years. But I guess it can act as a stepping stone for other future j*bs in Japan.

It's english but they spelled the logo in french?

Yes
Sadly the wisdom of Noah Webster hasn't reached Merry Old England, the French colony.

Going to Japan to "teach English" is how you end up a miserable "The Truth Behind Japan" YouTuber. teaching a subject you're not passionate about in a country you don't know the language of is no way live life, in any country.

I used to be an ESL teacher, but not in Japan.
I would not recommend teaching for anyone, anywhere, for any reason.

From what I've read this was a thing to do 20-40 years ago. Today there's millions of foreigners in Japan and many of them speak English. The competition is a lot higher which means higher qualifications for worse pay.
Even this wasn't the case, though, you should ask yourself if you like teaching and would be any good at it instead of likely seeing it as an escape ticket. Would you be willing to be an English teacher anywhere else? If not, maybe rethink things.

When I was at a 7/11 in Japan someone spoke to me in perfect English when I was having trouble with a user interface. I think the combini like to have bilingual staff on hand.

I think working in a convinience store is a better job than being an English teacher.

But what if I like teaching, and I speak conversational Japanese?

>Going to Japan to "teach English" is how you end up a miserable "The Truth Behind Japan" YouTuber.
It could be worse. You could turn into one of those dekinai expatriates who "live in Japan" but don't actually interact with the Japanese in any meaningful capacity.

I make a post in this thread, and this comes in my recommendation out of nowhere.
How much are you getting paid for the kissu data you sell to Google, Vermin?

I'd suspect your browser, cookies, and background google processes first

That's the thing, I don't have any accounts on my PC, only my mobile has accounts connected, and I got the video on mobile. I don't know if it's a coincidence or they're reading what I'm typing from my keyboard sounds or what, very creepy because it's happened a couple times before as well.

could just be saliency bias
you may see hundreds of recommendations in a given day, and dogen's video is merely one of many

The wages are shit now. JET has always been awful but now they're too the point where they almost expect you to pay them just for the chance to "live in Japan".

You want a well paying job in Japan in 2025? Tech sector. That's quickly closing up too. Since the economy is shit everywhere and will only get worse.

You're viewing a youtube thumbnail on a domain outside of youtube. Maybe you should just block all i3.ytimg.com URLs instead.

If you accuse me of this again I'm going to ban you in retaliation for attacking me.

Fire up wireshark, and start typing something on any website (doesn't have to be kissu). Almost always, with every key press your OS is sending some packets to some server. It doesn't happen when you are not typing anything.

I wasn't aware that pointing out google apis spying on every end user no matter where it's embedded constituted a personal attack on the admin's honor.

That's exactly how I live in my home country.
