I used to think internet activism was mostly bad after becoming jaded towards it over the past decade or so. Now I'm starting to realize there is somewhat of a place for it when the cause is good enough like https://www.stopkillinggames.com/

Sometimes it's nice to see that you can rally people for an actually useful cause.

Well that's annoying, the second I post about it the page goes blank, at least the government petition site is still up.

Nice digits
I personally support the initiative and signed it
I think skepticism towards it actually getting passed/it actually making a difference is fair but I really do believe that it was spawned from nothing but good intentions, so I'm very happy to see that it's almost guaranteed to reach the needed vote amount

Glad this was able to make a comeback
Felt like it was doomed for quite a while

Skepticism is fair, at least from an American perspective because petitions are worth less than the paper it's printed on, but here's hoping euros get something done. Having some conversations with others also made me realize this sort of thing could have some knock on effects elsewhere in consumer rights like right to repair. But I'll reserve further wishful thinking until this gets tossed around parliament.

You can pick out when blizzard boy's videos were released in early august and the point Ross made his last call video. It's just wild how quickly it took off after that. Seems like everyone, not just the usual trend chasing youtubers are covering it, as well as the single largest dogpiling I've seen on the internet in a good many years. The bongland petition also made its goal with a near 20% margin over, which is incredible considering the starting point was 10k or so.

>as well as the single largest dogpiling I've seen on the internet in a good many years
He deserved it after world of warcraft of all things exposed him as a massive narcissistic cunt a few months ago.

now it just needs to get 200k more to account for the tards that can't spell their own name

I wonder if companies are killing off their live service games now that they feel threatened by the initiative and dont want to put in an iota of work on their turds.

And retarded burgers signing it. Either way more signatures the better.

 No.157046

Ross released another update now that both petitions passed their initial thresholds.
Ross says he controls the weather and has moved us into The Fog, and we need to keep pestering europeans to sign more because of invalid signs and potential bad actors

He's way too genuine
A more crafty person would state something like "bad actors are actively trying to ruin the petition and we must stop them" to rile people up and get more votes
But that didn't even cross his mind I bet
