I have been trying to spend more time with my Grandmother. This requires watching mainstream television. Since that's what she likes to do.
I can't believe this show is still on the air but they've been watching Big Brother on CBS for the last month or so. The grand prize is $750,000 this season and it looks like it's really easy to win. All we'd have to do is manage to get three people inside at the start and vote everyone else off the island. The so-called challenges are easy from what I've seen (this week was an easy maze combined with human hamster wheel). The contestants keep going on about their "social game". But all it boils down to is convincing normalfags not to vote for you. Which is pretty easy.
My greater point: Someone that doesn't give a fuck about social interaction and/or enjoys trolling and watching people fight with each other as a result could easily win this. The only hard part will be being trapped in a studio set with a bunch of normalfags for 2-3 months without internet access. But you're allowed to take in and have entertainment material shipped in. So we just need to bring in a bunch of manga and doujin to read while we're inside. Maybe bring some VNs and a cheap laptop.
Once we win we could use the $750,000 as seed money to buy land and fund building the mansion. Lots of people have won multiple times. Lots of people have made millions off endorsement deals after appearing. So short of winning we could always become famous and make money by being the first person to start a fist fight over getting voted off, or openly doing otaku stuff on live TV. I also thought insulting the Chinese woman that hosts the show (wife of CBS owner) would also be fun.
The TV shows normal people watch are really really stupid. It's pretty much crap like this and Gordon Ramsay reality TV cooking shows on repeat. I can feel myself becoming dumber just being in the room with it on.

>>161622I forgot the best part and why this is super easy. I watched some of it last year and the people on it were crying and threatening to walk out over being tortured for a weekend. You want to know how they were being tortured?
They got locked out of the main area of the house so they no longer had access to the kitchen stocked with free food. They were locked outside by a hot tub, swimming pool and every few hours a robot was showing up and giving them free hot pizzas.
They were threatening to walk out because they got to eat free pizza for 3 days.
No.161624
>>161623>They were threatening to walk out because they got to eat free pizza for 3 days. The producers probably told them to act dumb about it for the viewers. Reality TV is so fake they could have also been complaining about something completely different and they just made it look like it was about the pizza. I can't stand reality TV.
No.161625
>>161624I hate reality TV too. I only bring it up because I noticed the prize had gone up $250,000 since I last watched it. It would be really easy to win it and it would be really fun to spend your entire time there shitting on reality TV as a whole.
I don't remember TV being this stupid when I used to watch it.
