I did the summonings when they were a requirement for unlockables. Otherwise I solo'd. I remember Kalameet being the most fun boss if you try to sever the tail first. I'll probably find him lackluster if I fight him again after all the souls stuffs I played through since then.

I didn't have a PS3 at the time and only buy original physical releases, so I pirated it on PC and thus couldn't summon anyway. I actually didn't even understand what the runes were there for until way later, so I'd probably have accidentally ruined the Gargoyles fight for me if I had been online.

I used the summoning for Gaping Dragon for some reason I don't remember (I think it's to have an easier time to cut off its tail for the item), but I solo'd Gaping Dragon in Nightreign recently so it's evened out.
