Which ones would we try and arrange games of?

Thread just got a whole lot stinkier.
Where is Soku, Umineko, Arcana Heart, Asuka 120%, Hinokakera, and last but not least Nitroplus Blasterz?
If you're going to attempt to organize a tournament the games above are probably better to use since they're free or at least easy to pirate. Although, a lot of them don't have proper rollback netcode sadly.
Of the ones on the list I would only play BB:CF, AC+R, Melty (original), and Darkstalkers/SF3. The last two only because they have decent netcode through fightcade. BB:CF would be my top pick for two reasons;
-Rollback netcode
-Easy-mode for people that haven't played before (mash for combo modes).
I refuse to play Strive, sorry. I just can't stand the dumbed down gameplay and the fact that they ruined my main (Bridget). Same issue with BB:CTB. My beloved Platinum was ruined.
If you haven't tried it I highly suggest Nitroplus Blasterz. I think it's on steam now but you might as well get the stand-alone version. Pretty sure it has netcode included.
Off topic but: I've been working on producing a proper pirated version of BB:CF with rollback netcode for some time. I've reversed engineered the match making servers. I just haven't released it because I don't have the cash to set-up a bunch of VPSs to support a player base of more than 10 people at the moment.
Oh, where is KoF98? You can't have a proper list without KoF98. Come play my waifu Athena!
One game that's not on the list I'd like to try is samsho5sp (fightcade/steam).
Other than that soku is the game I want to play the most, I can see myself playing it for some time.
Most games on this list I wouldn't mind trying but whether I want to stick with them or not I don't know yet.
if we go the melty route, then we'd be using CCCaster which requires manual input of IP addresses.(there is a built in lobby system running through CCC's servers)
But this is obviously not a preferable solution so we might want to develop a simple GUI lobby system that interacts with https://github.com/NotMadscientist/CCCaster
I also like how this means that multiple people can play/interact at the same time in a Kissu lobby as apposed to the more chaotic and public connection style of FightCade.
Something like a Tauri based Web UI who's Rust code binds to the API that CCCaster's CUI uses(or simply runs it in a background process).
For this reason I lean more towards modern games which require me to do less work, but with more modern games the people who prefer retro are less likely to follow, compared with people who like modern games if the retro games can be modified to include the quality of life of modern titles.

yeah, I just peaked around a bit. But I'm not really sure how it works. It might be good enough
https://www.twitch.tv/kissstreams playing some blazblue right now
interesting poll results. I'm still thinking of how I can use them to create an event, but I think next weekend maybe just schedule a time in the evening on Sunday or Friday.
If it's a fightcade thing then usenames should have /qa/ in it or something like that. Still thinking up options
Can I throw in a request for Garou: Marks of the Wolves? It's a pretty simple game that plays like a mix of Street Fighter and KoF. No teams. It's on both versions of fightcade and the roster is small enough that you don't have to memorize a bunch of character specific stuff. Used to play it all of the time with a local friend. Probably the best fighting game on the Neo-Geo.
