its like my second time ever posting on this site. my comment was deleted so I assumed I was banned. I am not going to check to see if I am banned as I really dont care If I am or not. the fact my comment was deleted for no reason makes me lose interest in this site.

good, if you're going to start calling shows transexual propoganda you can kindly leave.

Deletions happen now and then to keep threads on track. It's not done against individuals but posts. Anyway, moderation talk is better done on /b/ so threads don't get derailed.

I like the mom in this show, but the show itself... ehhh.... well it has potential but I really would have preferred it stay focused on the old guy. Alas, it is the nature of the genre.

Kissu was created to house users 4chan's /qa/ who were unhappy with the direction that board was headed. One of those issues was the increasing prevalence of /pol/9k/ type content. As such, overly edgy and/or political content gets deleted.

thanks for giving some mythos on site and its understandable to not want any pol shit. ive never been apart of qa or pol but I just think the average person would have similar thoughts after having watched the anime without even being extreme themselves. like why is this dude wearing a dress? I miss older anime with masculine protagonist.

Is all this fuss about some isekai protag dressing up as a girl? People used to call them traps and we all came buckets to them instead of bringing up real life shit, ironic or not.

More that it's such a mundane thing in anime that you'd have to have some sort of concern about preserving masculine stereotypes and gender roles. Having any opinion about it is political because the trope of androgynous characters is related to the concept of "the ideal man" and "the ideal woman" that gets pushed in nationalistic propoganda.
The reason it gets put into anime is because people object to it.

>>8613
Yeah, the build up to this scene made me think that the father was a pedophile. But it seemed more like he was trying to make sure his son could be a perfect assassin.

 No.8620

Conversely, I think it's people's refusal to be easy going and accommodating of alternative point of views that leads to problems. New users add new perspectives and new avenues of excitement.
Not everyone needs to be in agreement, but we should at least be polite to one another. There's nothing worse than closing your mind to newcomers because you're afraid that they'll take something away from your personal enjoyment.

People who come here with other points of views are the ones who are more relaxed and easy going than those who refuse others from sharing them.

 No.8622

Mind you, that doesn't excuse people from acting in ways that are not considered the norm. People need to have a more or less uniform set of ethics and rules to maintain proper discourse...

So it's not as if I don't understand both sides of the coin and the pitfalls of both routes.

I think a lot of the site's existing population consists of people who've been 'burnt' by the outside web and are looking for an escape, and it's created this weird kind of fear of outsiders.

 No.8624

>>8623
Not particularly weird if you explain it like that. It would be the natural effect. It creates a more secure set of rules that the community can enforce with little oversight, yet it makes stale content more easy to form.

Mind you, this is all just theory. The actual execution associated with theory is something complicated that I still haven't grasped. Kissu(and most small imageboards) are basically a cult-classic model of culture. It's formed around a niche idea that is closely guarded for it's purity and authenticity. But knowing this and doing something with it are things I've yet to figure out. Perhaps my nature as a theoretical person prevents me from integrating into what I study and understanding it from a general point of view. I see the forest where others see trees.

 No.8625

>>8620
You should consider that there are already dozens of other imageboards that accommodate people who like to watch anime from behind a prism of American identity politics while using all the latest buzzwords like "bruh" and "sus", and welcoming them will only help gradually make this board more similar to them. Clearly many of the current users frequent kissu because it fulfills a specific niche, what's wrong with wanting it to maintain that niche?

Besides, this doesn't have as much to do with points of view as it does with behavior. I don't care what opinions or views other posters hold, but someone who is well-behaved would understand what kind of content is or isn't appreciated, and refrain from posting things that are generally not welcomed.

I live in Quebec and what you're saying is exactly the same as our national politics.

So while you on one hand are saying that the site will drift towards US politics, you are also pushing it towards Quebecois politics. So while you detest the politics of a country you live in, I likewise have large disgust towards my own politics. It's this middleground that I seek which makes Kissu different from the hundreds of other imageboards which blend politics into them.

I'm very happy to see new people and wish to see kissu continue to grow and I want people to feel welcome. There was one post that was a bit too much for the laid back atmosphere, but it doesn't mean the poster is unwelcome. I hope he stays, he's here posting because he likes it and things are proceeding as normal.

I have never been to Quebec, don't know anything about Quebecois politics, and haven't the slightest idea of what the real life Quebec equivalent of what I'm saying is. And I'm not a fucking American. I'm just force-fed information about their country's sociopolitical landscape by virtue of being an English speaker and using the internet. See what I'm getting at?

My politics actually probably align closer with the guy who had his comment deleted, but it's pleasing that you all are keeping that sort of garbage nipped in the bud; political discussion is like the death of 1000 cuts for community quality and overall I'm just tired of seeing it everywhere on the net.

We really lose nothing from not having it.
