You just make it sound like it's hard to build around because hitting the number takes actual skill in building around courses. It's not running out, you have to hit 35% 2 seconds before the race ends
I can look at a few things Suzuka is missing like how some of her bonus is wasted on guts, weaker potentials, no long bonus
And i can't play a character i don't have.

Been undervaluing the stamina effect, in general, by roughly 100 points I think. So handling the 6th rank team battles is not doing well. Hopefully I can revise a character in each of the 4 distances non sprint distances. So I get a personal best about 12,000 points higher
No.10304
>>10261>Hopefully I can revise a characterYou can manipulate the stats or do you mean train in a different direction or something? Can you have multiple versions of the same Horse Girl with different stats/training or is it unique?
No.10309
>>10304Redo most of my characters. For PvP races you select a team of 3 horses and they have to be unique(for you, but other people might have the same). You can have a bunch of horses that you haven't yet sold off for points, but it's just warehousing your previous runs.
In the JP version there's supposedly some reroll mechanics. Not yet in global.
Stamina works such that when your character has just enough stamina points to make it to the end, they start a sprint to consume it all. And your stamina could fully deplete if you get hexed by another racer or there's uphill elevation towards the end.
So There's a couple of linegraphs you can make of sprint-time to max-speed to acceleration and there will be an optimal amount for several conditions based on if there's rain, or it's a dirt track, etc..

>>10433Basically there's a PvP event and in order to win at PvP you have to keep redoing the campaign hoping your horse gets good RNG win effects. Then you use a winning horse to "breed" another horse which carries over some of these effects.
By doing this you build a super umamusume which can do well in tournaments and you get good rewards.
There is effectively no pay to win with this mechanic. You have to repeat the game a lot. You get more out of your repeats by having a good set of cards or horses, but the grind is still large.
No.10439
>>10434It's true that your chances are abysmal even if you drop a lot of money on support cards, but the difference is significant. A good guest legacy is simply not enough to consistently reach high speed + high stam/pow. You need at least a few good high level cards as well.
If you can only get over 600 per run your chance for a sta spark is 0.83%, but with 1100 its 1.67%. In other words, out of a 100 runs you have a ~50% chance to hit a 3 spark stam at least once if most of them only hit 600, but an 80% chance if most of them hit 1100.

Don't have a cell phone but I'm wondering. Years ago I got hooked on one of those horse racing games on console where you pick horses and bet fake money. Was fun to play with friends and it supported up to 8 people so was great when we had more than 4 people or only had one working controller.
Have they made something like that for the horse girls yet? I know they made a huge number of these in Japan for just about every console. I think the one we had was on PS2. It was translated into English badly so seeing all the Engrish was fun too.
No.10476
>>10475Horse betting is a common passtime that parents take their kids to.
There's no need for a fake version when the real one is so popular
No.10480
>>10476Yes I know it's a past time. But you're wrong about the fake versions. The catalog of horse racing games released in Japan is deep. They make tons of them and they're pretty fun if you want a passive game to play.
You are given a small amount of money like $200 at the start. Then you get to bet on horses to win/show. You can bet on as many as you want like IRL. Once every player has locked in their bets the race starts. You get to watch the horses run around the track and usually the race is really close because it randomizes which horse will win. So you get to cheer your horse on or rage when it falls behind like in IRL.
After that the game pays out and takes money away from the winners/losers. Then you get to bet on the next race. You keep going for 3-10+ races until the player with the most money is declared the winner.
I liked the game because I could casually play it with friends while we were doing other things that tied up our hands. Like communal smoking or drinking together. Really run background game for casuals. It's like Wii sports but with gambling.

Turns out I made a minor miscalculation in legacy building because I was supposed to make a priority also getting good terrain/course sparks so the Ace gets a natural numbers advantage.
This isn't really a problem because green skills pass down with high probability, but I will probably need a very slim probability roll on some of my legacy which passes down some niche buffs.
No.10541
Actually... I certainly do need maximum stam stat gain so I'll borrow a MLB Super Creek and try to get SR Dober to max(after i get GW to lvl5)...
Guts SpeWeek has some decent gain and power boost so I think with enough luck i can build a very strong Late Surger Ace which will have some of the benefits of End Closer with less of the debuffs

Think I found a few power leveling tricks...
-Don't rely on stamina and speed only... you need a guts card because there's so few good stamina cards if you aren't a turbo whale.
-Use wit training as much as possible to grow bond, then switch into rainbow
- Keep the guide up to know what choices have what results

>>10676I don't really run an Oguri, but she's very strong.
The Oguri anime is kind of detatched from the games and other material because they couldn't get the rights to use the names of the American horses. I think.

No.10683
>>10682What you're saying doesn't really make sense, but...
No, the outfits are basically characters with identical aptitudes. You can't run multiple outfits on a team, only the same character.
But since they're entirely different skills they can't transfer over. The stat distributions are also different so if you level them up they change a bit.
No.10684
Umamusume is also kind of a rougelike, so you don't really train a character... you build a horse's ability to do runs better, but every time you do a run it's a new character. There's no carryover besides the legacies you build and methods to strengthen the run
No.10685
>>10683Well, since you said "outfit" I thought maybe you meant it was an item you could equip to your already-trained Oguri Cap. But, that wouldn't make sense in a gacha when they could instead have you spend more time/money on a new version that has to be trained again.
No.10686
>>10684Oh really? Huh, nevermind then. Interesting.
No.10687
>>10685There are some things like that which are kind of difficult to explain... because you do level up an Uma outside of runs to make them better, and some shared "experience" makes sense, but it would make the game less grindy. Circumventing the grind is their way of generating money.
But the characters themselves are basically just things you made during fresh runs. You could hypothetically equip them, but the idea is that you're never really sticking with a character. You're constantly building on top of the old ones.
An Oguri normal has different skills from an Oguri christmas so you can't interchange them. And it wouldn't matter anyways because you build the two differently.

I just can't get a better run...
I think I have to get 6 summer vacation trainings in wuth max friendship and hit S distance to do it...
Meaning to say that there's only 4 parts of a run that matter...
1st inheritance
1st summer vacation
2nd inheritance
2nd summer vacation
If you aren't hitting stacked rainbow training and get good spark hits, then the run is doomed to be a high B+ low A at best.
No.10729
actually.... there is a bit of mix between leveling up faciliies and going for wit to preserve training HP... so you have to weigh which of the two will be best... because if you can hit facilities lvl5 you get infinite summer training stats..
No.10739
I think it's really close but
>>10738 is still better...
Because Standard Distance provides a 60point Stamina bonus which is more meaningful than the 55point Speed bonus.
The power and guts is higher, and the stamina recovery skills are more consistent. So it will handle some debuffs potentially...
No.10740
figured out that the reason people want S aptitude is so that they don't need to get an A+ rank because you can reduce your speed requirements by about 100 stat points and put that into other things
kinda obvious but lizard brain wanted high numbers everywhere
1000 speed point roughly equal to 907 speed point with S rank
might be able to put out a better run in a couple of hours of grinding before the event begins, but I do have an extra day to try and get something better before I lock in and do 5 sets of 5
surely the best run of 40 tries is going to be pretty good... so maybe it's not required and I'll pass into the winners bracket anyways
But I guess I know a lot more about the grind so I can make something better if I downgrade the speed stat and put more into wisdom or guts+power combo
So
>>10737 is actually more like a 1160 Speed which causes greater stamina depletion. What worked well is when the long courses were on the shorter side
