Alright, episode 3 was a fantastic return to form. I don't know what they were thinking with 1 and 2 by introducing so much, hmm, non-comedic story I guess you could say? It wasn't necessarily bad, but that's not why you watch Puniru. The end of Season 1 showed that it could do emotional stuff very well, but this stuff wasn't like that.
Anyway, episode 3 had a sexycute harem Puniru

I think that they did great in delivering the idea that there's more to the idea of love than just idolizing sex in last week's episode and ending on that cute blob slime Puniru's charm and softness as a contrast to the 'perfectly' calculated Gelee's sex appeal was a great way to showcase the difference. In a way, Gelee is the perfect stand-in for AI's role in society as being a great jack-off tool, but not much more beyond that.

Also she shows the difference in the attitude of wanting to be more human vs Puniru's carefree nature that is fine with being a cute toy. Although that contrast is also a bit more complex in that I don't think it's supposed to necessarily show that side of Puniru as an absolute good since given the other "power-up" episode there is definitely something that Puniru is lacking that she's feeling conflicted over in trying to get closer to Kotaro, and Gelee is attempting to grasp that more
real romantic connection while Puniru is trying to understand it.
All in all though there's still plenty of Puniru antics, especially in this episode. I think that we're somewhat past the point of Gelee having her main introduction arc after the confession so her role as a side character should become a bit more solidified instead of stealing the show.
