>>8032>Does /amv/ pay attention to more indie animations? Not really. As a whole I don't pay attention to social media where the stuff would be promoted and I don't really go searching on youtube.
Here is pretty much the only way I'd hear of it.

>>8036>>8037I love that short so much. Tasteful use of CGI. Half of it is pantsu shots. Belly peeks. The expressive voice acting and faces. The cute self contained story. The cartoon-like gags. You can tell it was inspired by some of the better western animation from the 1920s-1940s. Anyone that loves that old western stuff is usually a great animator. It's just plain old fun.
I've been trying to track down a DVD of it for the longest time. I didn't buy one when they first come out and I regret it so much. I want to encode it but I refuse to do it unless I can grab the original disc release. There is a German BD but I have no idea if it's any good or what kind of editing they might have done to it.

>>8040Fritz could probably be considered more indie for how almost nobody wanted to sponsor it and how much of a legal nightmare it faced. Still one of the best societal critiques in animation that still holds up today.

What the heck, I love this show.
The VAing is top notch, and so is the OSTs/BGMs. The visuals are also nice.
Thanks for posting about it, anonymous. Would have missed it otherwise.

Great anime. Loved the vibe of the show, the casual-ness of the dialogues was really something fresh to watch. Thanks for the OP, OP!

>>8032Neat, I never would've found out about this series if not for this post.
>>9284I tried watching this in the English dub. I liked Chiharu and the two cyborg guys' voices but everyone else sounded a little awkward. Of course in the Japanese dub everyone sounds better. Maybe seeing this happen in every anime ever means there's just a flaw with the English language.
No.11732
>>11731>flaw with the English languageNo, dubs for Dragon Ball or Pokemon were good, it's the newage voice actors that go over the top that ruin it. I mean, just look at English cartoons, they have great voice acting.
Interestingly, I have found that Japanese dub of non-japanese materials are just as bad; maybe they just don't have enough funds to be hiring good VAs for secondary/foreign media.
