205k views after 5 hours as an animator on youtube I consider to have "made it". He has enough influence that 4chan got mad when he exposed kids to their fandom like Phoenix Wright. He's in the big leagues, although since he has to actually create things he can't make that many videos per year.
It's possible if not likely he works for some studio without his internet name attached to it, although with the state of Western animation there aren't many places he could be. Maybe he does contracting work for anime keyframes and stuff.

For me it's the opposite, I'm a crab who is all sour grapes because he and I started at around the same time and our skills are about on par, but he made it big time and I'm nearly homeless all the time.
