It's one of the first animes I downloaded when I got internet at home for the first time and releases were more or less 170mb per episode. Seems like that fansubber from 20 years made quite a few translation mistakes, because several jokes make sense now.
The new version is not a great improvement, but sigh. the joys of early digital anime.
