Let's give this a try. The game's known for being hard and takes a while to learn but essentially it's a turn-based strategy game and something of an autobattler, you watch cool armies from all sorts of ancient lore fighting.
Game's playable in multiplayer on a pirated copy as well, more info here

like, the power of lightning mage battlefield effects is that you will ultimately end up killing your own army if you don't bring resistance buffs. And blood vengance is also MR negates and you just delt with MR negates on longdead... how about against elite mages..

My ideal was someone else was going to be able to prevent you from massing lots of units then I attack underground when I have some demons and blood summons to form a main attack.
So my reasoning was that I had no option other than give up my capital or defend it and hope there were enough people to give you trouble.
Though not as restrictive as the sea, fighting in the dark is still limiting.

Also I'm wondering what people's thoughts were on having just tier 3 thrones everywhere. From my point of view they were too strong for most of the game and it was difficult to justify gathering up a strong enough force to take them, particularly when you are already in the middle of fighting someone.

I'm thinking that maybe it would be worth trying again some time in the new year. The christmas break would probably be quite disruptive to a long-term game like this anyway.
