I will also check out the Cat's Eye remake but don't have the highest of hopes after other remakes like Kenshin and Ranma lost me before I even started them.

I've been way busy with real life than I would have liked the past two seasons. I haven't watched any anime in 3 weeks. I doubt it will get better for the next season.

Mmm, I'm not feeling very hopeful for this season when it comes to the number of good shows. There's some guaranteed stuff like Uma Musume, Spy x Family and the cow shorts, but other than that I'm not so sure.

Not much there in first episode apart from the "Grrr I can't wait until the protag gets revenge against his ungrateful former party!". It's not going to be amazing, but might be enjoyable enough to watch. The girl is cute enough, although she could be cuter. Meh.

I guess there's a basic psychology to the genre's appeal just like there is for isekai. Isekai has the "do your life over" appeal, but this one has the "prove to the people of my past that I've made something for myself" wish fulfillment going on.
